The aging process makes notable changes in the skin proteins. Decorin is an essential protein in the skin that controls collagen aggregation, equalizes fibril diameters, and maintains a normal packing. Unfortunately, the changes also affect decorin, which becomes truncated and loses effectiveness over time. This modified form (non-functional) of decorin, missing in young skin, lacks parts that can interact with collagen. As a result, it leaves a considerable negative effect on the skin's firmness and elasticity, resulting in morphologic changes in collagen organization in the mature skin.

Tripeptide-10 Citrulline (also known under the trade name Decorinyl®) is a brilliant new collagen-organizing tetrapeptide that mimics decorin, improving collagen structures and restoring the skin's suppleness and resiliency. Thanks to decorin-like action, it regulates the fibrillogenesis process and collagen fibril dimensions.

Scientific tests with formulas containing Tripeptide-10 Citrulline showed a 54% increase in the appearance of skin suppleness in 28 days.

What are the benefits of Tripeptide-10 citrulline?

Tripeptide-10 citrulline regulates fibrillogenesis, controls collagen fibril growth, and increases skin suppleness due to a better cohesion of collagen fibers which provides higher resiliency and improves skin appearance.

Benefits include:

  • compensates lack of decorin in mature skin
  • binds to collagen fibrils and regulates collagen organization, also enhancing its stability
  • ensures uniformity of fibril diameter and the regular spacing of collagen fibrils
  • maintains tissue shape and provides skin suppleness
  • has a high and sustained moisturizing profile

Collagen boosting is only one part of the solution. Make sure your new fibrils are well-oriented, organized, and uniform.
