SkinPen® creates controlled microchannels that activate the skin’s natural remodeling response. An enhancement adds a provider-selected professional cosmetic formula to the treatment protocol.
VAMP™ combines high-purity PDRN with hyaluronic acid, vitamins, amino acids and minerals. NexGen PDRN+ combines free-form and encapsulated PDRN with hyaluronic acid, copper peptides, spermidine, amino acids and skin-identical lipids.
The choice is not based on which formula is “stronger.” It is based on your skin condition, desired emphasis, sensitivities and the professional treatment plan.

No. SkinPen® can be performed without either formula. An enhancement is considered only when it fits your goals and professional plan.
Which enhancement is better?
Neither option is universally better. VAMP™ has a broad vitamin, amino-acid and mineral profile; NexGen PDRN+ adds dual-form PDRN, copper peptides and lipid support. Your provider recommends the more suitable option.
What is PDRN?
PDRN refers to purified polynucleotide fragments used in cosmetic skin formulas. The complete formulas and supporting ingredients differ between VAMP™ and NexGen PDRN+.
Do these enhancements require a blood draw?
No. Unlike platelet-rich plasma protocols, these ready-made professional cosmetic formulas do not require collection of your blood.
Will an enhancement add downtime?
Expected recovery is driven mainly by the SkinPen® treatment settings and your individual response. Your provider will explain what to expect.
How many sessions will I need?
