Safety Information
For external use only. This is a regulated over-the-counter sunscreen: ALASTIN states broad spectrum SPF 36, zinc oxide 3.4%, and water resistance of 40 minutes. Apply generously 15 minutes before sun exposure, and reapply at least every two hours, after 40 minutes of swimming or sweating, and immediately after towel drying. Avoid direct contact with the eyes and rinse thoroughly with water if the product gets into them. Discontinue use if irritation occurs. Close the cap after use, keep away from direct sunlight, and store out of reach of children.
Not recommended for:
- Children under 6 months of age — ask a doctor first.
- Broken, irritated or sunburned skin.
- Anyone with a known sensitivity to zinc oxide, iron oxides, or another ingredient in the list.
- Skipping reapplication — the brand states 40 minutes of water resistance, not all-day cover.

Will the tint match my skin tone?
It is a single universal shade built from iron oxides, sheer enough to warm and even most tones rather than to match one exactly. It is a glow, not a foundation.

HydraTint is tinted and hydrating at SPF 36 with 3.4% zinc oxide, so it doubles as a light complexion step. SilkSHIELD is untinted at SPF 30 with 19.95% zinc oxide and TriHex Technology peptides, and blends sheer on every tone.
How much should I use?
Generously, and evenly. Under-applying a sunscreen is the most common reason it performs below its stated SPF. A dedicated layer for the face, and more if you are covering the neck and ears.
Can I wear make-up over it?
Yes. Apply it as the last skincare step, let it set for a minute, then apply make-up. Many people find they need less foundation over the tint.
Is it fragrance-free?
Yes. ALASTIN states the formula is fragrance-free and reef-friendly.
