For external use only. This is a regulated over-the-counter sunscreen: ALASTIN states broad spectrum SPF 30 with zinc oxide 19.95% as the active ingredient. Apply generously and evenly 15 minutes before sun exposure, and reapply at least every two hours, after 40 minutes of swimming or sweating, and immediately after towel drying. Avoid direct contact with the eyes and rinse thoroughly with water if the product gets into them. Discontinue use if irritation occurs. Close the cap after use, keep away from direct sunlight, and store out of reach of children.

- Children under 6 months of age — ask a doctor first.
- Broken, irritated or sunburned skin.
- Anyone with a known sensitivity to zinc oxide or another ingredient in the list.

Does it leave a white cast?
Despite the high zinc load it is milled to blend sheer and absorbs quickly, which is what the name refers to. Applying it in two thin layers rather than one thick one helps on deeper tones.
