Professional Recommendation
UV Daily is the comfortable one. Where UV Clear SPF 46 is oil-free and built around 5% niacinamide for oily and breakout-prone skin, UV Daily is built around hyaluronic acid, so it behaves more like a light moisturiser with SPF in it. That makes it the sensible pick for normal, dry, dehydrated or mature skin, and for anyone who finds a matte sunscreen leaves the face feeling tight by lunchtime. If you want the same base with a sheer wash of colour, UV Daily Tinted SPF 40 is the same idea with iron oxides added.
The finish is untinted, which suits fair and light skin tones best — on deeper tones a mineral filter can leave a faint cast, and the tinted version handles that better. Prime the airless pump on first use. On drier skin you can apply it straight onto damp skin after your serum, which helps it spread without dragging; on days you are only indoors it is often enough on its own, with no moisturiser underneath. Give it a minute to settle before makeup.
Safety Information
For external use only. Apply generously 15 minutes before sun exposure and reapply at least every two hours, and always after swimming, towel drying or sweating. Sunscreen works together with shade, a hat and covering clothing rather than in place of them, so on long days outdoors plan for all of it. Keep the product out of the eyes; if it does get in, rinse with water. Stop use if irritation or a rash appears and does not settle.
Not recommended for:
- Children under 6 months of age.
- Broken, bleeding or freshly wounded skin.
- Anyone with a known sensitivity to zinc oxide or octinoxate.
- Use inside the eye area, on the lips or on the inner nose.
Frequently Asked Questions
Should I choose UV Daily or UV Clear?
It comes down to how your skin behaves by afternoon. If it feels tight or looks dull and dry, UV Daily is the one — hyaluronic acid gives it a moisturising finish. If it turns shiny and breaks out easily, go to UV Clear SPF 46, which is oil-free and carries 5% niacinamide.
What is the difference between UV Daily and UV Daily Tinted?
Same formula, same SPF 40, same hyaluronic acid base. The tinted version simply adds iron oxides for a sheer tint that evens the look of the complexion and avoids any pale cast. This untinted one is the choice if you wear your own foundation or want nothing but sunscreen on the skin.
Can I skip my moisturiser and just use this?
On many skins, yes — it is moisturising enough to work as the single step on a normal day. If your skin is very dry, keep your usual moisturiser underneath and let it absorb before applying.
How much do I use, and how often do I top up?
Apply a generous, even layer over every exposed area 15 minutes before you head out, then reapply at least every two hours and after swimming, towel drying or sweating. Most people under-apply, so err on the generous side.
Is it suitable after a facial or a peel?
It is fragrance-free, hypoallergenic and non-comedogenic, which is why it is a common post-treatment choice. Follow whatever your treatment provider recommended for the first days; if you had a facial with us, ask at the appointment or book an online skincare consultation.
